Richard Marsh

From the 1960s through the 1990s, Richard was a freelance or staff journalist with several newspapers, magazines and radio stations in the United States and Ireland, including a variety of editorial positions.
He taught English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in Dublin from 1990 to 2000. During the 1970s in Key West, Florida, Richard established Pocket Poetry Press and Mazgeen Press and edited and published the magazine Pocket Poetry. He had worked as a coffee house poet in Detroit, Chicago and New York in 1958-59.

Beginning in the 1990s and continuing to the present, Richard has been a Legendary Tours guide and storyteller. He is a member of the Heritage in Schools and Writers in Schools programs, through which he tells stories to children in schools and libraries in Ireland. He also travels frequently to the United States and Spain with his repertoire of Irish, Spanish, Basque and world stories. For many years he was a regular contributor to programs on the Irish national radio station, RTE Radio One.
